It is with immense pleasure that we announce the publication made by our Volunteer Research Asst. Pasindu Pabasara at the 8th International Buddhist Conference on Nov 21, 2024.
His extended abstract titled ‘Exploring the Role of Social Reconciliation Centres (SRC) in Promoting Community Sense and Social Integration is another contribution made by our centre towards positive peace. By Employing a qualitative research design, the study has identified six spectrums of activities conducted by SRCs, their impact in enhancing leadership and networking skills, encountered challenges, and viable solutions.
The scholarly event organized by the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura, was attended by worldwide research enthusiasts in Buddhism and Peace Studies, including Emeritus Prof. Asanga Thilakarathne as the keynote speaker and Most Ven. Makulewe Wimala Mahanayaka Thero as the Guest of Honor.
